Terms of Service

2026-08-29-draft-1 · 29 August 2026

Draft. Written from how Homi actually works, but not yet reviewed by a lawyer. Not legal advice.

Welcome to Homi. These terms govern your use of the Homi site and service, operated by Sagi Katz (sole trader; no company registered yet) ("we", "Homi").

Using the service means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

1. What Homi does — and does not

Homi is a platform connecting customers with independent beauty and grooming professionals who travel to the customer's home.

Homi does not provide the treatment itself and does not employ the professionals. Your agreement about the treatment is with the professional. We provide the tools to discover, arrange and record the appointment.

2. What we do not promise

We would rather say this plainly than bury it:

  • We do not run criminal background checks on professionals.
  • We do not verify licences, professional insurance or training, and we do not endorse them.
  • We do not supervise the quality of treatments and are not a party to them.
  • Ratings and reviews are written by customers and reflect only their opinions.

3. Who may use the service

The service is for people aged 18 and over. By registering you confirm you are an adult and able to enter into an agreement.

4. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for keeping your password confidential. If you suspect misuse of your account, contact us.

You can delete your account at any time from the account page. Deletion erases or anonymises your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. How a booking works

A booking request is sent to the professional and is not confirmed immediately. The professional has a limited window to accept; if they do not, the request expires on its own and you are told.

The professional's confirmation is the moment the commitment between you is created. Time, service and price are shown before you send the request and are stored on the booking record.

6. Payment

At this stage Homi does not process payments and does not collect money. Payment passes directly between you and the professional, at the time of the appointment and by whatever means you agree.

The displayed price is the one the professional set. When in-app payment is enabled we will update this document and ask for your agreement again.

7. Cancellation and no-shows

Cancelling as early as you can is a matter of mutual respect: a professional who held an hour for you turned another customer away.

Because Homi does not take payment at this stage, any money arrangement around a cancellation is between you and the professional. Homi charges no cancellation fee and issues no refunds.

None of this limits your rights under Israeli consumer protection law, including cancellation rights for distance transactions. Where there is a conflict, the law prevails.

8. Reviews

You may review only an appointment that actually took place, and within a limited window after it ends. One review per booking.

We may remove a review containing incitement, abuse, another person's personal details, or content unrelated to the service.

9. For professionals

You are independent and are not employed by Homi. You are responsible for your own licences, insurance, reporting and taxes.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the profile, prices and availability you publish, and for the photographs you upload being yours to publish.

Conduct that harms customers may lead to suspension or removal of your profile.

10. Prohibited uses

Do not use the service to:

  • Impersonate another person or give false details.
  • Harass, threaten or harm another user.
  • Collect information about users by automated means.
  • Circumvent security mechanisms or disrupt the service.

11. Intellectual property

The service, its design and our content belong to Homi. Content you upload remains yours, and you grant us a licence to display it in the service in order to operate it.

12. Liability

The service is provided as is. We are not responsible for the quality of a treatment, the conduct of a professional or a customer, damage caused during an appointment, or its outcome.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We will update this document from time to time. Each version carries a number and date at the top of the page. A material change requires fresh agreement.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts of the Tel Aviv district have exclusive jurisdiction.
